My Story
My Scentsy Story I was first introduced to Scentsy in 2010. A friend/classmate of mine was a new Scentsy consultant, and she was spreading the word like wildfire. I was a little bit interested and checked out the catalog. Ultimately I decided to pass on Scentsy. I had a ton of candles in my home, why do I need this stuff? A month later, a classmate of mine got sucked into hosting a basket party for our friend. We sat in class smelling the testers. I have never smelled anything so marvelous in my life…and there were 80 different scents to choose from! I also learned about what made Scentsy so much safer than candles and other wickless companies. I wanted it all, but I was a poor college student. My friend talked me into hosting a basket party to get my Scentsy for free….boy, am I glad I did! I hosted 3 basket parties over the next 2 years. I earned so many warmers and Scentsy bars for free, but it still wasn’t enough. I had developed an addiction to Scentsy. But hey, at least it was a healthy addiction, right? I decided to take the leap and start my own Scentsy business in December of 2012. I was a full time college student and had a full time and part time job. I didn’t plan to make a lot of money, I just wanted to keep getting some free Scentsy! As soon as I received my Scentsy starter kit, I had my launch party. Only 3 people showed up, and I became quite discouraged. I was quite busy with school and work, but I still shared Scentsy with the world. Soon enough, I had people asking me left and right to host a basket party! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to sell this stuff! I was able to work, study, and still make a bunch of money with Scentsy! Since starting my Scentsy business, I have been able to pay off my car, and paid for my wedding in October 2014. Making it from paycheck to paycheck isn’t as tough as it used to be, and I have a bit of spending money to go out to the movies, or have little adventures with my husband! I have recently re-focused on my Scentsy business, because I LOVE it. I can't believe I actually get paid for something that I love! I became a Lead consultant in September 2015...but I am not done yet! Thank you for reading my Scentsy story.
